Melissa Galdys is a certified special education teacher and has been working in the field of preschool and early intervention for more than 22 years. She has worked as a special education teacher in a variety of settings including self-contained classrooms, inclusion classrooms, co-taught classrooms and as an itinerant teacher. Melissa is a behavior specialist trained in the Pyramid Model and has a great deal of knowledge, experience and training in providing positive behavioral supports, interventions and strategies to teachers, students and families who may be struggling with challenging behaviors. In addition, she manages our evaluation program that provides initial and supplemental evaluations for children between birth-5 year olds.
Melissa loves what she does and feels very blessed to work with the incredible team at H&S and the families and schools in the community. Melissa is married, has two young adult children and enjoys reading, antiquing and refinishing furniture with her husband and spending time in her yard/gardens
